Plan movement and use the timeline

Animate routes, stops, and timing for a venue plan.

Create a moving object

  1. Open Motion mode or choose the moving-object tool (M).
  2. Draw the route and finish it with Enter.
  3. Choose Shuttle bus, Stilt walkers, Fireworks barge, Security patrol, or Custom as the representation.
  4. Set the count on the path, speed in kilometres per hour, start minute, and end minute.
  5. Add named stops with their progress along the route and waiting time in seconds. Enable looping or easing at stops when appropriate.
  6. Use timeline playback and scrubbing to inspect the result.

Keyframes and path geometry

Keyframes associate a minute with a progress percentage along the path. Add or remove them in the motion panel to shape timing. Edit the route’s point coordinates when the physical path needs to change.

Check the animation against the intended schedule and route. The representation is a planning aid; it does not track real people, vehicles, or staff locations.

Recording

Use the recording option where it is supported by your browser, then inspect the downloaded result. Playback and exported recordings illustrate the design at that moment; they do not carry later cloud edits.
