Set up a venue background and scale

Use maps, floor-plan images, PDF, or DXF as your starting point.

Use a geographic background

  1. Open the background or tracing controls and search for the venue under Find the place.
  2. Select the correct result, then choose Street map or Satellite as the background source.
  3. Check the origin and venue position before placing objects. Geographic backgrounds use metre measurements at the map origin.

Import a floor plan

  1. Choose Upload a floor plan and select a PDF, PNG, JPG, WebP, or DXF up to the displayed 50 MB limit.
  2. Review the imported result. PDFs use the first page; supported DXF geometry includes lines, polylines, circles, and arcs. Read any import report for unsupported items.
  3. For a non-geographic plan, choose Calibrate with two points. Click two points whose real distance you know, finish calibration, and enter that distance in metres.
  4. Adjust background position, width, depth, and rotation when those fields are available, then lock the background to avoid accidental movement.

Improve readability

Reduce background opacity or enable Greyscale when the source competes with your objects. Blank canvas removes the visual background without making your objects disappear. Background locking is separate from object locking.

Check scale before seating

Use a known dimension to verify calibration before arranging rows or measuring routes. A drawing’s proportions can be wrong even when it looks plausible. A permit-plan export is a drawing, not an official capacity or safety approval.
